on 23rd March, 1922.
The Committee then considered the Annual Medical Report of Hong Kong for the year 1925.
The Committee expressed the opinion that
the narrative portion of the keport did not give
a sufficiently clear review of the medical affairs of the Colony during the year under-razies and
whilst they fully appreciated the work involved
in the preparation of the statistical tables included in the Report they considered that many
177
of those tables were unsuitable for inclusion in an Annual Medical Report. They expressed the hope that the model form of Medical Report would be
A more closely followed in future years.
The Committee also made the following observations on points of detail in the keport.
Page 9. They were pleased to note that the Colony had continued to enjoy freedom from
| plague during the year under review.
Page 30. They read with interest the Report of the School Medical Officer but they noted with
regret the high proportion of children suffering
from defective vision. In this connection they
enquired whether the furniture in use in the
| schools is of the approved type.
